Hot Wings

    INGREDIENTS:
  • 7-8 lbs. fresh or frozen chicken wings thawed if frozen
  • 4 cups ketchup
  • 2 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 1/3 cup water
  • 1 cup Louisiana Style hot sauce
  • 2 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

DIRECTIONS:
Option #1
Place chicken wings on two greased 15x10 inch backing dish. In a large bowl, combine the ingredients. Pour over wings. Bake uncovered at 350 for 1 hour or until chicken juices run clear. Spoon sauce from pan over wings.

Option #2
Place chicken wings on two greased 15x10 inch backing dish. In a large bowl, combine the ingredients. Pour over wings. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes, and drain into saucepan. Turn wings and bake another 20-25 minutes. Meanwhile combine the sauce and bring to a boil and simmer for 25-30 minutes. Drain wings and place them in a slow cooker. Put half in and then some of the sauce and repeat with another layer. Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours.
