How To Tie a Improved Clinch Knot

  1. Run the end of the fishing line through the eye of the hook or lure pulling the end through about 6-8 inches.
  2. Holding the end of the line, twist the hook or lure 5-6 times. (Note: heavier line may not require as many twists)
  3. Pass the end of the fishing line between the first twist and the hook eye.
  4. Take the end of the fishing line and pass it through the loop just created. Wet the loop with some saliva to lubricate the knot. Holding both parts of the line and hook/lure pull taught with steady pressure.
  5. Clip the loose end of the fishing line approx. 1/8" from the knot.
