How to Tie a Float Stop Knot
The float stop knot can be very handy used for casting a running float. The advantage of the float stop is its ability to grip the line and slide through the guides of the rod. The knot is usually made of nylon that is approximately 5 inches in length and same diameter of the fishing line being used.
- Twist 2 - 3 times around the main line.
- Bring both ends around each other to form knot.
- Tighten the knot and adjust the coils to form a clean knot.
- Trim tag ends after adjusting knot to appropriate float height.
